Eugene Bower
Nearly 50 Years of Dedication to the Craft of Building
Eugene Bower began his construction career in 1976 as a humble apprentice. Through decades of hands-on experience, hard work, and determination, he rose to become a respected foreman and eventually made the bold decision to start his own company in 1991 after the closure of W.O.C.O.T & Associates. That pivotal moment laid the groundwork and eventually marked the beginning of Bower Design & Construction—now a name synonymous with craftsmanship and trust throughout Southeastern Wisconsin.
A Legacy of Mentorship and Leadership
Widely recognized as a superior craftsman, Eugene is equally admired for his leadership and mentorship. His knowledge and integrity have shaped countless careers. Many who trained under him—whether as apprentices, crew members, or subcontractors—have gone on to launch their own successful companies, continuing the legacy he helped build.
Three Generations of Builders
What makes Eugene especially proud is seeing his passion passed down through generations. Not only have his children joined him in the construction business, but several of his grandchildren have followed suit, making Bower Design & Construction a true family legacy.
Deep Community Roots
Beyond construction, Eugene has given generously of his time and talents to his community. He is a lifelong member of the Kansasville Fire Department, where he served as captain and worked on the rescue squad. He also held every executive position in the Lions Club and was honored as a Melvin Jones Fellow for his service and leadership.
Life Outside the Job Site
When he’s not building or mentoring, Eugene loves spending time “up north,” enjoying the outdoors with family and friends. These moments of retreat reflect the same values he brings to his work—family, tradition, and a deep appreciation for community.
An Enduring Impact
Eugene’s presence has left a lasting mark on the building industry. At a recent Bronco Booster Club golf outing, John Henderson, former owner and founder of Horizon Retail Group, publicly credited Eugene’s mentorship during his apprenticeship as one of the key reasons he was able to launch his company. Similar stories are shared by business owners across Southeastern Wisconsin, each one a testament to Eugene Bower’s influence, guidance, and unwavering dedication to his craft.
